Enable your directory listing
What "Accept enquiries" actually does, what your listing needs before it's worth publishing, and how long it takes to appear in search.
Publishing to the directory comes down to one switch — but it's worth making sure the listing is ready before you flip it.
Before you publish
A room needs all of these to earn enquiries:
- At least one photo, ideally several. This is the single biggest factor in whether someone clicks through.
- A description that answers the practical questions: size, furniture, parking, access, waiting area.
- Opening hours, so practitioners can see when the room is actually usable.
- A category, which determines the searches you appear in.
- Features and suitability, which are filters practitioners use to narrow results.
Turn on enquiries
On the room, set Accept enquiries to on.
That switch is the only thing standing between your room and the public directory. With it off, the room is invisible to everyone outside your workspace — it won't appear in search, on category pages, or in nearby-room listings anywhere on the site.
Taking a room off the directory for a while — refurbishment, a long-term tenant, a quiet season — is just a matter of switching enquiries off. Everything about the room is preserved, and switching it back on republishes it as it was.
How long until it appears
Directory pages are cached for performance, so a newly published room usually appears within a couple of minutes rather than instantly.
If it still hasn't appeared after ten minutes, check that:
- Accept enquiries is on
- the room has at least one photo
- the room's location has a valid address
Check the public listing
Open the room's directory page and read it as a stranger. The photos and the first two lines of the description do almost all the work — everything below that is for people who are already interested.
